MFA

The MFA is a must see in Boston and what better way to see it when it's free admission? MLK Day allowed many Bostonians, tourists and art lovers and explore the wonders of one of MA's famous galleries. Katie, Maribelle and I were met with a long queue outside the main entrance. But to or delight, it went down pretty fast. After a quick view of the many pieces of display, I went to find my friend Fatou who was anxiously waiting in the Q. Finally in the warmth, Fatou got her ticket and we headed to the Renis Auditorium where a Berklee performance was taking place . She mentioned that her friend would be performing so we were in luck. However, when Fatous friend called her, she told her that she was in the wrong place. Whoops! We figured out where we had to be and we said to the others that we would meet up later. The MFA was now alot bigger than we thought as it took a while to navigate around the place. Eventually we found the right auditorium and we were just in time for it. There was musicians, poetry readers and MLK's speech was read out by two performers who were just excellent. Fatous friend did a bit of performing and singing, she performers a piece describing the conditions women were going through at that time. After that, we had a look round Mario Testino's exhibits. The first was In Your Face, literally! The photographs showed many famous faces from over the years in various locations apon various styles or just naked. His photos are full of colour and life, why can't I be as good as him or be as beautiful as Beyonce? His other exhibit was the British Royal Portraits, a beautiful collection of the Royal Family over the years. Photos included The Queen, Princes Charles and Camila, Harry and Wills and Kate. They are such a cute couple! I <3 them :)

Let's GO HUSKIES

First American Basketball Game!

On Wednesday, Katie, Halliki and I went to the Northeastern Basketball Game which took place at Mathews Arena.

The HUSKIES were up against Hofstra Pride from New York.

Arrived at Mathews full of anticipation!

Grabbing some temp tattoos and t-shirts along the way, I was ready for my first game.

There were cheerleaders, the Northeastern Dance squad and of course PAWS, the mascot!

After a thrilling first half, there were competitions, trivia and Dance Cam to entertain us.

The Huskies lead most of the night and went on to win 65-60

LETS GO HUSKIES!

The tree has arrived at the Kinross household!

For 50 dollars, we were able to buy the Real McCoy and spent an evening decorating it!

It's beginning to look alot like XMAS :)
